Once you're rolling in a lot of dough, you can buy and build stations. There are also over a dozen races, each with their own set of structures and aircraft. M7 is my favorite but they are hard to get because you have to be very friendly with a race for them to let you buy one. M5 -> M4 -> M3 -> M8 -> TS/TP -> M6 -> M7 -> M2 -> M1 -> TL -> M0īecause you can't own an M0, M2 is by far the most deadly. In order from smallest to largest (generally): TL = Capital-sized transport mostly for building stations (has hangar bigger than M2, smaller than M1). M2 = Destroyer (often transports a few M3 ships, lots o' guns but slow as hell) M1 = Carrier (often transports 50+ M3 ships, slow, well armed) M0 = Battleship (rarely seen if at all in X3) The most impressive thing is how many ships there are: Also, people offer other kinds of jobs at random like to kill someone, transport people, protect a structure, etc. Each sector has a variety of structures in it to buy/sell stuff. Basically, there's over a hundred sectors connected by jump gates. I've never played FreeSpace so I don't know.
Buy x3 terran conflict install#
They say it doesn't have any region code in it so it's safe for someone in USA to buy and install it. It reeks of Star Force 3 (installs drivers/root kits, has lots of false positives, etc.) but, at least Egosoft is good about releasing patches to remove the DRM after a few months.Ĥ) It is only available on Steam in most cases however, Amazon has a UK DVD version available. This makes me quite nervous.ģ) It has very aggressive DRM know as Tagès.

It doesn't even have something spinning/moving to let you know that its working. In short, if you loved X3: Reunion, you'll love X3: Terran Conflict.ġ) It should autosave when changing sectors but doesn't.Ģ) Some sort of progress display on loading saves and transition between sectors. They also made it easier to find jobs and control large fleets of aircraft (dubbed "Wings"). It also sounds like they added a whole lot of M7 class ships which IMO, are the best. It is vastly improved over X3: Reunion in areas that need it like UI layout. I can't believe no one made a thread about this game yet and it has been out for almost exactly a month.
